Paul D. Maher, M.D.
Dr. Maher is specialized in the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease and its complications. He graduated from the University of Southern California summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. When he completed his M.D. at USC he earned entry into the honor societies of Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi.
He is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease with special certification in interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In recognition of his extensive experience in coronary interventions, he was elected Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has also completed a lipid disorder training program with the American Heart Association.
Dr. Maher has been actively involved at Huntington Hospital since earning his degree in 1978 including his post graduate training. He was Associate Director of Clinical Cardiology from 1983-1996. He is a past Chairman of the Department of Medicine and electively uses Huntington Hospital for all of his hospital based care.
He and his wife, Linda, reside in Pasadena, where they have raised three sons.
