Joel W. Heger, M.D.
Joel Heger is a native of San Gabriel Valley and graduated from medical school at USC. His post-graduate training was completed at the University of Southern California and the UCLA Harbor General Hospital. He is a clinical professor of medicine at USC.
Dr. Heger is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He has been voted as one of "America's Top Doctors" yearly since 2000. He has published 5 editions of his textbook in Cardiology which has been translated into five foreign languages.
His medical focus has been patient care in both clinical and interventional cardiology. He developed the initial acute interventional program for myocardial infarction in 1982 at Huntington Hospital. He has been an active participant and former director of the catheterization laboratory at the Arcadia Methodist Hospital.
He currently resides with his wife in South Pasadena.
